This Nutritious Chicken Bola-Bola with Sotanghon Soup is Perfect for Kids

Chicken Bola-Bola with Sotanghon Soup

Chicken Bola-Bola with Sotanghon Soup

2 tbsps oil

1 red onion, sliced

4 cloves of garlic, minced

1 carrot, julienned

10 cups chicken broth

2 bundles Sapporo Long Kow Vermicelli noodles, soaked in hot water for a few minutes

¼ cabbage, julienned

Salt and pepper

For chicken balls:

¼ kilo ground chicken

¼ tsp garlic powder

¼ cup green onions

1 tsp soy sauce

3 tbsps  flour

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

Procedure:

  1. Combine all chicken balls ingredients. Form into 8 balls. Freeze for 15 minutes while preparing for the soup.
  2. Heat oil. Saute onion. Add garlic and carrot. Saute for a few minutes. Add chicken broth, salt and pepper. Gently drop the chicken balls on the soup. Cook on high for 5 minutes.
  3. Cover and lower heat for 5 more minutes. Add Sapporo Long Kow Vermicelli noodles and cook for 5 minutes. Add cabbage and cook for 2-3 minutes more. Serve.
